A Voice from the Baobab Tree

A Voice from the Baobab Tree is about the environment. One day two children, Lina and Jackson, went to fetch water from Kachuro River. To their surprise, the latter had dried up. Then suddenly, they heard a Voice from the Baobab Tree and another from the Mountain. Both warned them on the misdeeds of the people of Kitebwe Village which had resulted in the destruction of the forests, bushes and land. The results were eroded soils, changes in the climate and drying up of rivers and streams, among others. Worried by the impending disaster, the Village leader, Chief Mfuruki, resolved to arrest the situation. What steps did he take? The book has the answer.
